FITTING MADE EASY
1
Warm it up 🔥
Use a heat gun or hairdryer (on the hottest setting) to soften the adhesive behind your existing badges.
3
Line it up 📏
(Optional, but highly recommended)
Use masking tape to mark out the exact position. There’s nothing worse than a wonky or off-centre badge!
5
Apply your new badge ✨
Firmly press your new BLK’D badge into place and hold for a few seconds.
⚠️ For best results, allow at least 48 hours before washing your vehicle so that the adhesive has time to cure.
2
Remove carefully 🎣
Dental floss or fishing line works brilliantly to “saw” through the adhesive. Plastic trim removal tools can also help.
⚠️ Avoid using screwdrivers or anything metal – they will damage your paintwork.
4
Clean it up 🧽
Apply adhesive remover to get rid of any leftover glue, then thoroughly clean the area for the best bond with a suitable degreaser - we find White Spirit works well (other options are available).
⚠️ Take care what products you use if you have custom paintwork, a wrap or matt/satin finishes. Always test in an inconspicuous area first and read the safety precautions.
